Press release for the launch of the CDIF4EOSC project

Press release for the launch of the CDIF4EOSC project

June 3, 2026

CDIF4EOSC published its first press release following the project’s first online consortium meeting, held on 3 June 2026.

Official Launch of the CDIF4EOSC Project

The first online consortium meeting officially brought together the project’s 21 partners for the first time. With 57 participants attending the meeting, the kick-off provided an opportunity for partners to introduce themselves, present their respective Work Packages and discuss the key next steps that will guide the implementation of the project over the coming months.

Throughout the meeting, partners shared the project’s vision, objectives and expectations, while outlining their respective roles and contributions across the different Work Packages.

The consortium also welcomed the Project Officer, Ourania Skondra, whose introduction provided useful insights into the project’s framework, expectations and future collaboration.

Laying the Foundations for Effective Project Coordination

The kick-off meeting provided an opportunity to discuss several aspects that will support the implementation and coordination of CDIF4EOSC. Discussions focused in particular on:

  • Project governance and communication processes;
  • Quality control mechanisms and KPIs;
  • Stakeholder engagement activities;
  • The establishment of collaborative tools to support effective coordination across the consortium.

This first consortium meeting laid the foundations for a strong and ambitious collaboration between the project partners, aimed at advancing interoperable, FAIR and high-quality data integration services within the EOSC ecosystem.

A Tool for Engagement and Visibility

The publication of this first press release provides a communication resource to raise awareness of the launch of CDIF4EOSC and its objectives. It also provides consortium partners with material that can be used to communicate consistently about the project and relay its first activities through their respective networks.

We encourage all partners and stakeholders to make use of this material by:

  • Sharing the press release within their institutional and professional networks;
  • Relaying the publication through their websites, newsletters and social media channels;
  • Using it to raise awareness of CDIF4EOSC and its activities within relevant communities.
