SUMMARY:Online Public Session of the OntoPortal Alliance Workshop 2026
DESCRIPTION:🚀 Do not miss the Online Public Session of the OntoPortal Alliance Workshop 2026! \n🌍 The #OntoPortalAlliance is a consortium of research and infrastructure teams dedicated to promoting semantic and ontology services based on the open\, collaboratively developed OntoPortal open-source software. This includes #BioPortal\, #AgroPortal\, #EarthPortal\, #EcoPortal\, #BiodivPortal\, #MathPortal\, and #OntoPortal-Astro\, enabling federated access to semantic resources across research domains. \nThis public session is organized in conjunction with the OntoPortal Workshop 2026\, taking place in Paris (organized by the OntoPortal-Astro team). For more info on these workshops here: https://lnkd.in/eNT_p3g8 \n💡 During the Public Session\, you’ll discover:\n• Introduction to OntoPortal ecosystem and its community\n• Practical applications of OntoPortal services and semantic interoperability\n• OntoPortal for Research Infrastructures\, Data Spaces\, AI and 🫵(you)\n• A live Q&A and hands-on tutorial \n📅 23 September 2026\n🕒 15:00–17:30 CET\n📍 Online \n🔗Don’t miss this opportunity to explore how OntoPortal Alliance is supporting management of ontologies and other types of semantic artefacts\, and register here: https://lnkd.in/eN4RC3Nr \n🎯 Who should attend?\nMetadata and FAIR experts\, ontology and semantic web specialists\, research software engineers\, data scientists\, repository managers\, data stewards\, research data managers\, and anyone interested in semantic interoperability and research data integration. \n🤝 Relation with CDIF4EOSC?\nIn the #CDIF4EOSC project\, OntoPortal technology underpins semantic artefact catalogues (SACs) used for metadata enrichment — including AgroPortal (INRAE)\, EarthPortal (CNRS) and the upcoming SocioPortal\, to be launched by CESSDA for the social sciences. #CNRS and #INRAE contribute semantic interoperability expertise\, notably on scientific variable description with I-ADOPT. Beyond OntoPortal itself\, the OntoPortal Alliance is working on MOD-API to standardize SAC APIs across implementations.\n#INRAE\, co-founder of AgroPortal with #OntoPortalAlliance\, is a key partner in the #CDIF4EOSC project\, where they will explore how #SemanticArtefacts\, #Ontologies\, their #Mappings\, and the machine-actionable #Metadata for semantic description can support the development of interoperable and reusable #FAIR #ResearchData ecosystems\, essential for #ResearchInfrastructures and enabling the success of federated data spaces such as #EOSC\, #DataSpaces\, and beyond. \n🌐 Learn more about CLIMATE-ADAPT4EOSC on our website: https://lnkd.in/e3rHUEdg \n🎬  Discover Our YouTube channel: https://lnkd.in/eMSfaEsa

SUMMARY:EOSC-France 2026 : Implementation of the future French National Node in the EOSC Federation
DESCRIPTION:The French research communities are strongly engaged in establishing a national node as part of the next phase of integration within the EOSC Federation. This workshop aims to present and discuss the vision\, scope\, and objectives of a French EOSC Node while also drawing on contributions from other national EOSC Nodes and thematic node representatives to ensure alignment of approaches. It will further seek to identify shared priorities to support the consolidation of a French EOSC Node within the broader EOSC Federation. In addition\, the workshop will demonstrate and  review French use cases that could be implemented during the third phase of the EOSC Federation\, and provide a collaborative space to explore priority future use cases and associated alignment requirements. \nMore information and registration: https://eoscfrance2026.sciencesconf.org
